Dear Radio Friend,
May I take a moment of your time, to tell you a little
about myself and the RSN dx Group. My name is Janne and I live in the South part of Sweden. I formed this group in January year 2003.
It has always been my passion to start a group on 11m and be successful, I am happy to say that after only 16 mths we have over 1751 members worldwide and growing very fast, with 27 websites and more on the way. And have many plans for next year. 2005 All dxcc have their own directors. They are a great team and I am proud of them all. Membership to this group is open for all people interested in radio communications and the internet. Our only rule, that I enforce is that we do not talk religion or politics. Our Motto is, Radio is friendship, Friendship is peace. This must be the future. If not for ourselves, then for the next generation. Would you please except this email as your personal invitation to join our group. All is free to join.
I need no money from you. Join us and see what we have to offer. If you would like more information, or have any questions, don't hesitate, please email me, or check out our website. Many thanks for taking the time to read this email. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and all your family all the very best wishes from myself and the RSN dx Group. I look forward to your reply. Thanks again.
The RSN group can be joined by any operator beeing active on the 11 meter band, regardless of origin, nation, religion or whatever. There are NO restrictions. We are in good believe, that everybody of us knows how to operate a radio. We do NOT buy members. We do NOT deny there wish to join us, because of rumours around. You does NOT need to have confirmed dozens of countries before you can join. You does NOT need to pay year by year your fee. All you need to do is, to have fun on the radio and to enjoy the DX!

A few tips from the RSN-DX Group
|
More CBers and new equipment will make our hobby more interesting. But the increase of bad mannered operators will make for a different type of interesting. The kind we can do without. It has been suggested that many of these people turn out to be on some type of public assistance, have drug or alcohol problems and generally have no interests in life but to pass the time by trying to make others as miserable as they are.
We have found the best way to discourage these individuals is to ignore their rude remarks and disrupting behaviour. Never responding or arguing with them is the best solution most of the time. Arguing always encourages them to be more rude and foul mouthed. After all this has become their sole purpose in life, don't play into their hands. If you're talking to a friend and someone is interfering with your QSO, don't let anyone know that your being disturbed. If you have the friends phone number give them a call and talking over the air the same as if you were communicating over the air but use the telephone as your ears. Nobody will suspect that the individual is covering you up, especially the one causing the interference.
Every so often they will un-key to see if they're doing some damage. Never let them hear you say "come back again" or even worse, "that so and so is keying all over you". Once they hear that they know their doing damage and they're in heaven and you'll never be rid of them. It's important for them to hear both parties carrying on a fluid conversation. You'll notice that they will un-key more frequently to check and see if you're just ghost talking. Then finally (hopefully) they will disappear.
Rule 1, never let them know they're getting to you. Rule 2, never let them get to you!
